Every business domain sends email, and every major receiver (Gmail, Outlook, and the rest) checks whether that email is legitimately from you before deciding whether to deliver it. Those checks are configured in DNS records most businesses have never heard of: SPF, DKIM, DMARC. When they're missing, misconfigured, or silently broken, two things happen. Your real email gets spam-foldered or rejected, and scammers can impersonate your domain to phish your customers.
